01 · Direct booking flat fee
The $600 direct booking flat fee covers a single residential installation that meets all of the following criteria:
- 7ft or 8ft standard pool table
- Three-piece slate construction (not one-piece)
- Slate top (no MDF or composite)
- Located within 250km of our Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane depots
- Residential setting (not commercial premises)
- Ground floor, or accessible by stairs no longer than four flights, with stairwell width of at least 900mm and doorways no narrower than 820mm
- Customer present at the install with the table on-site, unpackaged or in original packaging
Any booking that doesn't meet every criterion above is quoted separately on a call after submission. We'll confirm eligibility the same business day we receive your booking form.
02 · What's included in the flat fee
- One trained installer with a minimum of 500 prior installations
- On-site assembly of the table from delivered components
- Slate levelling to a tolerance of ±0.005 inches
- Cloth recovery. Customer provides the cloth, we fit it tournament-tight
- Cushion bounce test on all six cushions
- Accessory installation: cue rack, ball rack, light fixture (if supplied), triangle, chalk
- Two completion photographs delivered to the booking email within two hours of completion
- Customer-signed satisfaction survey delivered alongside the photographs
03 · What's not included
The following are explicitly out of scope of the flat fee and are either refused or quoted separately:
- 9ft tables. Quoted separately for the extra crew and slate weight involved
- One-piece slate tables. These need specialist lifting equipment and a separate quote
- MDF, composite or particleboard tables. We decline these as a rule due to install integrity concerns
- Coin-operated or commercial table systems. Not installed until our team is specifically trained on them
- Tables that are damaged on delivery. Not installed until the supplier has resolved the damage
- Tables with missing parts or incomplete kits
- Heavily modified tables with non-standard structural repairs
- Delivery of the table to the customer's address. That's the customer or retailer's responsibility
- Removal or disposal of any existing table or packaging on site
- Rubbish removal of any kind
- Specialty re-felting in non-standard cloth weights, colours, or with custom inlays
- Repairs to pre-existing structural damage
- Off-shore deliveries to Tasmania, Northern Territory, or remote routes
04 · Surcharges (added on a call)
Where a booking is otherwise eligible for the flat fee but involves additional complexity, the following surcharges apply. These are confirmed on the call before any invoice is issued. You will never see one on the day.
- Stair install (5+ stairs): from $150 flat
- Restricted access (narrow doorways, tight stairwells, complex paths): from $150 flat
- Outside the standard 250km radius from the nearest metro depot: quoted by zone
- Customer-supplied cloth other than Simonis, Strachan, or Iwan: handled case-by-case
05 · Payment
- All bookings are pre-paid via a Stripe invoice issued after the confirmation call
- The install slot is reserved but not confirmed until payment clears Stripe
- A valid Australian tax invoice with GST and ABN is issued automatically by Stripe on payment
- Payment is by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe
- We never see or store card details. Stripe handles all payment data
06 · Cancellation & rescheduling
- Full refund for cancellations received seven or more business days before the install date
- 50% retention for cancellations received within seven business days of the install date. This covers the installer's reserved slot
- No charge for cancellations caused by access or eligibility issues we identified at the booking stage
- Reschedules requested with at least three business days' notice are free
- Same-day cancellations or installer call-outs to a non-ready site incur the full fee
07 · Completion & sign-off
Every install is completed to the scope above and signed off by the customer on a short satisfaction survey before the installer leaves. That signed survey, together with the two completion photographs, is the record that the table was installed and accepted.
We install delivered tables only. The condition of the table, its slate and components, and any product warranty remain with the original seller. We do not assume product warranty for tables we didn't supply.
Pre-existing damage is documented in our arrival photo set and signed off by the customer before work begins. Anything not in that arrival set is not our responsibility.
08 · Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the installation fee paid for the relevant booking, except where prohibited by Australian Consumer Law.
These terms apply to bookings submitted through pro-installs.com.au from 12 May 2026 onwards. Retailer partnership terms are agreed separately as part of partner onboarding. Questions: partners@pro-installs.com.au.
